Virtual Well Aware Session 1: Self-Care & Mind-Body Awareness

Your friends from AIGA Chicago invite you to join us for our first Virtual Well Aware, a series of explorations and conversations around navigating our “new normal” during this time of isolation, uncertainty, and anxiety. Through this series, creatives can connect with new folks, share their experiences, and learn how our selected speakers are channeling their energy during this difficult time. Each session will include the opportunity to connect and discuss the topic at hand.

Virtual Well Aware Session 1: Self-care & mind-body awareness

We’re all seeking a sense of calm and clarity as we engage with the challenges of this unpredictable time. Please join us Wednesday, May 27th to take part in an interactive mind-body awareness session led by Allison Hendrix.

Allison will lead us in a gently paced yoga session (all levels) utilizing movement and meditation to nurture a sense of control and allow us each to tap into our intuition. Our goal is for you to leave feeling calm, recharged, and ready to take on the rest of your week.

Once you have signed up we will send you details on what to expect and what you will need for this session—everything you will need can be found in your house.*

We see you, we hear you, we are here for you. We hope you can join us!

*Only Allison and AIGA committee members will have their cameras on during the session.

The link to the Zoom conference will be sent out to you via email a day before the event.

This is a free event. Donations are welcome and will go to support student scholarships and ongoing programming for our creative community.

She completed Yogaview’s 200-hr teacher training, is currently working toward her 500-hr certification with Jason Crandell. She has invested the last decade in continuing education workshops from master teachers such as Maty Ezraty, Noah Maze, Tim Feldmann, Tim Miller, and more.

Allison pulls from experience in many different styles of yoga to create an alignment-based vinyasa flow with a playful and adventurous energy. With a background in music and dance, she enjoys creating classes with curated music to inspire breath and fluidity of movement. Above all, she believes that yoga is a personal and profound experience, and encourages students to let their intuition be their guide throughout every class.
