The On series invites leaders in design, art and beyond to engage with the Chicago creative community in a one-night-only, face-to-face format. Events range from large-scale lectures to more intimate talks, guided by the styles of the speakers and topics of discussion.
About Bruce Mau
World-renowned innovator, designer and author Bruce Mau is committed to creative, healthy, ecological and economic abundance. His 25-year record of success in design thinking includes collaborations with such groups as Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, MTV, MOMA and Herman Miller, as well as nations like Guatamala, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. In 2009, Bruce Mau and Bisi Willliams co-founded the Massive Change Network as a strategic business consultancy providing access to Mau's design thinking methodology.
Mau has authored several celebrated books, including Life Style, Massive Change and S, M, L, XL (in collaboration with Rem Koolhaas). He is a recipient of the Global Creative Leadership Award from the Louise Blouin Foundation and of the AIGA Gold Medal for Communication Design, and is the Bill and Stephanie Sick Distinguished Professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
