The AIGA Chicago Mentor program is a way to connect with other creatives, share resources with the people in your community, give back and maybe even collaborate on a project. If you're looking to be more involved, the Mentor program is for you. 

Each mentor group will meet every other week following the kickoff for 6 weeks (weeks of June 30, July 14 & 28, Aug 11 & 25 and Sept 8) at locations to be decided by your group. On your weeks off from your group meetings, there will be full program studio tours and one portfolio review. Tours will be in addition to the meetings each week. Everyone is invited to attend if they are interested (sometimes with a cap on numbers if the location is limited). Tours in the past have included VSA Partners, IDEO, 37signals and more. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your favorite Chicago firm.

During the kick-off, everyone will get 60 seconds to introduce themselves and you will have the opportunity to meet 79 other mentees and mentors. It's very important that you attend the kickoff to ensure you will be placed in one of the groups. Each attendee will be asked to fill out a short survey to determine what kind of involvement they are most interested in. 

Groups will be divided into these categories: 
/ work on your portfolio & resume
/ professional development
/ participate on a group project 
/ be a better freelancer 
/ hangout with my creative peers 

This program is FREE and open to all AIGA members, as well as non-members who are interested in joining AIGA. Non-members can only be in the program once. If you were previously in the program and have not yet joined AIGA but would like to be part of the program again, please activate your membership by June 25th.
