2014 Mentor Kickoff Fall/Winter Session

The AIGA Chicago Mentor program is a way to connect with other creatives, share resources with the people in your community and maybe even collaborate on a group project. If you're looking to be more involved, the Mentor Program is for you!

The Fall/Winter session will be shorter than the summer session and will last a total of 8 weeks (Oct. 15 – Dec. 3). Each mentor group will meet every other week following the kickoff (4 weeks) at locations to be decided by your group. There will also be a full program of studio tours/talks, an interactive design workshop and one portfolio review. Tours & talks in the past have included R/GA, Mike McQuade, Simple.Honest.Work., Juice Interactive and more. This is a great opportunity to learn more from different designers & design firms.

During the kick-off, everyone will get a chance to meet and introduce themselves to the other participants. It's very important that you attend the kickoff to ensure you will be placed in one of the groups. Groups will be divided into these categories:
/ work on your portfolio & resume
/ professional development
/ participate on a group project
/ be a better freelancer
/ hangout with my creative peers

This program is FREE and open to all AIGA members, as well as non-members who are interested in joining AIGA. Non-members can only be in the program once. If you were previously in the program and have not yet joined AIGA but would like to be part of the program again, please activate your membership by October 14th. We can also register new members and renew membership at the event.

Spots are limited (we can accommodate up to 70 people this session). Please register to be guaranteed a spot.
