Basics of Hand Lettering workshop with Phoebe & Roxy in Chicago! This is the only class in Chicago and spots are limited!

In this two hour workshop, you’ll learn the basics of hand lettering. You’ll be taught the basic terms of lettering, how to set up guidelines, craft and pair different styles, create compositions, and you’ll be given all the tools you need to design some awesome finished pieces! You’ll walk away with the skills to add your hand lettered touch to cards, chalkboards, or whatever you heart desires! We also have a Q & A at the end where we get into freelance, pricing, contracts…whatever you wanna know!

This class is for beginners but all skill levels are welcome! Students should be comfortable using a pen or pencil, but no previous lettering experience is necessary. All materials are included in ticket price. Students will be given a workbook created by Pandr Design Co, a fine point ink pen, mechanical pencil, eraser, sharpie, sketchbook, and some other goodies. All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to learn!

Phoebe Cornog and Roxy Prima are a trained graphic designers that has created a full time hand lettering business through social media platforms. They specialize in creating large scale art pieces, like murals, to make a huge impact on a space. Their work focuses on lettering and they loves to share their knowledge and skills with others. This class will be a great opportunity for designers, artists, and anyone seeking a new creative skill. Come prepared with questions on anything freelance, lettering, or design related.
