The mentor program visited R/GA Chicago last Wednesday for the summer session’s first studio tour & talk! R/GA is a full-service digital agency that transforms the way people interact with the world’s leading brands. Executive Creative Director MD Low & Creative Director Jeff Canzona welcomed the group and briefly took them through R/GA’s history and the agency’s creative vision. Senior Visual Designer & AIGA Mentorship Chair Monina Velarde, presented “Making it on Tumblr: How to work with Tumblr artists and speak the GIF language”. And Senior Experience Designer, Rebecca Ussai discussed how Disney’s 12 principles of animation help define a new XD paradigm – UX Choreography. The night was topped off by a Q&A session where the group asked lots of thoughtful questions that made for a lively discussion.
