IIT Institute of Design Strategy Conference

Join us at the IIT Institute of Design Strategy Conference May 14-15 to hear from outstanding speakers and to join a unique design dialogue.

In addition to learning from speakers like Kim Erwin on visualizing big data, Don Norman on the design of everyday things, and Kaaren Hanson on the “internet of things”, we invite you to talk it out. Conversations with speakers and special guests are organized for both days of the conference, giving you the opportunity to share pain-points and successes facing your organization and connect with innovators in a variety of roles and industries.

Scheduled for discussion are:

Design for Social Innovation
Mike Brennan, President and CEO of UnitedWay for Southeastern Michigan and Robert C. Pew III, Chair of Board of Directors for Steelcase facilitate a conversation on the conditions for successful design in the social sphere.

Corporate Innovation Structures that Work
Uri Neren, founder of The World Database of Innovation uses statistics behind how organizations innovate to prompt a discussion on what works and what does not when innovating in corporate structures.

Human Science and Business
Pulling from his recent book The Moment of Clarity and experience with companies like LEGO, Samsung, Adidas and Coloplast, Christian Madsbjerg Senior Partner at ReD Associates will lead a session on how the human sciences can help us better understand and solve for challenges that involve shifts in human behavior.
